- Design for Manufacturability: Provides early and ongoing manufacturing involvement to ensure new products are mechanically manufacturable.- Process Engineering: Designs and develops technically complex processes to improve quality and efficiency.- Failure/Data Analysis: Plans, develops, and implements technically complex procedures for the testing and evaluation of soon-to-be-released products.- Fixture design and development: Creates Request for Quotation/Proposal (RFQ/RFPs) that documents the design requirements of simple to complex mechanical jigs and fixtures for assembly.- Leads design reviews of fixture requirements, design, qualification, and capability.- Manages the delivery schedule, required documentation, and qualification for acceptance at machine supplier facility and contract manufacturer- Works with Global Supply Managers to define and establish supply chain requirements utilizing selected equipment and manufacturing suppliers. - Travels to equipment supplier and contract manufacturer sites for equipment bring-up, qualification, acceptance testing, and build support- Drives failure analysis and issue resolution.
