AI/Machine Learning Engineer,

As a AI/Machine Learning Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Develop new and utilize existing machine learning models, AI, and apps to accelerate NPI and improve manufacturing throughput.
• Leading complex data science projects that develop novel algorithms, gather, transform, and integrate large volumes of data. Perform analysis, interpret results, and develop actionable insights and recommendations for use across theTransportation & Electronics Business Group.
• Leading Cloud Architecture design and deployment for novel internal software services and apps to deploy to internal customers. Maintain and ensure deployed services are secure and continually bringing value to priority projects.
• Supporting product development and manufacturing.
• Collaborating seamlessly with personnel in plants, divisions, and other internal and external resources as needed to accomplish your objectives.
• Participating in cross-functional new technology introduction teams.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, data science or a related field (completed and verified prior to start) AND two (2) or more years of experience with software engineering in a private, public, government, or military environment

OR

• Master’s degree or higher in computer science, data science or a related field (completed and verified prior to start).

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Industry experience of 2 or more years in related fields.
• Experience in data analytics, machine learning, and/or artificial intelligence
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Experience in the following programming languages: Python, Matlab, Typescript, C#.
• Experience in troubleshooting API errors, web connectivity, database connections, stored procedures, and/or software code.
• Experience in User Interface (UI) development, particularly in Angular.
• One (1) or more certifications from AWS, including AWS Professional and cloud Practitioner Level Certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in leading projects.

• Job is lab-based, and expectation is to work on-site
