What you'll do:

You will design and run automated testing of Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs), assist development teams with design specifications and improve production yields.

In addition, you will:

  • Collaborate with RF, silicon photonics, DSP, and module design teams for new product introduction, debug, and bring-up of new PICs and modules.
  • Develop test algorithms and calibration procedures.
  • Define and execute design verification test plans.
  • Be accountable for design verification documentation.
  • Support PIC level failure analysis and troubleshooting.
Who you are:

You are an expert in ASIC and PIC performance evaluation. You are knowledgeable in optical communications, including PAM4 and coherent optical communications. You are detail oriented, high energy and the drive to get things done. You love to solve difficult problems and derive tremendous satisfaction in helping others while contributing to the overall success of the project.

Minimum requirements:
  • BS degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or a Master's with 3+ years of relevant experience or Ph.D. with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of industry or research experience with fiber optics components and test and measurement equipment.
  • 2+ years of industry or research experience with client optics DSP, SerDes, and its testing.
  • Knowledge of DAC/ADC operations and controls.
Preferred requirements:
  • Experience with high bandwidth RF, EO/OE testing
  • Python for test automation
  • Experience with JMP or similar data analysis software
  • C++, Matlab programming and VPI modelling experience
