In this role you will: - Identify and drive improvements in silicon-based characterization methodology.- Design, execute and communicate plans to perform characterization work.- Configure system HW and SW for silicon characterization.- Lead failure triage and debug of underlying issues.- Develop, maintain, and improve automation tools.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience with one or more of the following scripting languages: python or TCL/expect
- Experience with device physics, transistor behavior, and leakage/dynamic power
- Experience debugging hardware and software issues in an embedded system
- Experience with Power / Performance Estimation and Optimization
- Experience with lab equipment
- Data analysis and visualization
- Experience reading schematics
- Experience with performance monitor features a strong plus
- Experience with power measurements a strong plus
- Experience with system and SoC architectures a strong plus
- Ability to work well on a team, take responsibility, and motivate self and others
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with power-management techniques such as dynamic clock & power gating and dynamic voltage frequency scaling
