Essential Responsibilities:

  • Foster strong stakeholder relationships to ensure data architecture and strategies align with business objective, driving technical data solutions to meet stakeholders needs and driving data-driven insights.
  • Champion data architecture excellence by establishing and promoting best practices, design patterns, and standards that elevate data model quality and consistency across the enterprise.
  • Design and develop data architecture solutions through conceptual & logical modeling, data diagrams, data flows, and drive variety of physical data models optimized for performance, scalability, supporting various data access patterns, and data consumption patterns (e.g., reporting, analytics, machine learning etc.)
  • Develop data models that leverage Cassandra distributed database system, supporting high-performance data processing, analysis, and supporting online banking at scale.
  • Implement canonical data models that standardize data structures and formats, supporting large-scale analytics workloads, fueling business intelligence, and reporting in lakehouse and data warehouse environment.
  • Lead the development and implementation of enterprise-level master data management strategies, architectures, and solutions, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity of critical data assets across the organization, and enabling a single, trusted source of truth for business-critical data.
  • Integrate a CI/CD framework that automates the development, testing, and delivery of data artifacts, ensuring streamlined data pipelines.
  • Expert in implementing data denormalization and aggregation techniques for performance optimization.
  • Demonstrate expertise in industry-wide fintech logical models, including customer logical model, payments, and loans logical models etc.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation of data architecture and data models.
  • Participate in proof-of-concept and pilot projects to evaluate new data architecture solutions and technologies.
  • Demonstrate expertise in target state and referential architectures by applying pattern-based solutioninng to effectively address diverse use cases and drive efficient data architecture solutions.
  • Design and implementing data catalog and metadata management solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Six to eight years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • This role/position requires a very strong foundation and practical skills working with Data Modelling , Data Architecture and Cassandra.
  • Ability to transform business requirements into technical data solutions .
  • Ability to analyze complex data challenges, identify root causes, and develop innovative solutions.
  • In-depthunderstanding of banking operations, regulations, and compliance requirements to tailor data architecture solutions effectively .
  • Comprehensive knowledge of database storage systems, encompassing relational databases (SQL-Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle etc), NoSQL databases ( Cassandra, MongoDB etc.), data lakes, and lake house architectures for batch and real-time analytics.
  • Experience with data modeling tools like Informatica PowerDesigner or Hackolade.
  • Strong data modeling expertise in building conceptual, logical, and physical data models to represent business requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
  • Experience with Medallion architecture for building lakehouse and data warehouse in Azure.
  • Proficiency with cloud computing platforms, particularly Azure or AWS Cloud Platforms.
  • Strong experience with big data platforms such as Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Hadoop/hive, Greenplum, and Databricks etc. for batch and real-time analytical requirements.
  • Proficiency in design principles and hands-on experience with data processing languages, including SQL programming for data modeling, Spark/Python for big-data processing, and data science applications.
  • Knowledge of BI and Analytical tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, and/or Alteryx etc.
  • Enterprise Architecture Framework: Familiarity with industry-standard enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF etc
  • Familiarity with data governance and data quality best practices
  • Understanding of data security principles, encryption techniques, and privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) to ensure data compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, demonstrating meticulous attentions to details.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, presentation, and interpersonal abilities, facilitating effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications ( e.g. Microsoft Certified) are advantageous. Azure Certifications like AZ-900, DP-900, and/or DP-100 are preferred.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $129,455.00 - $152,300.00 - $167,530.00 Job postings typically remain open for approximately 20 days of the posting date listed above, however the job posting may be closed earlier should it be determined the position is no longer required due to business need.
