What you'll be doing:
Design and develop facility infrastructure solutions tailored to the specific needs of data centers manufacturing.
Lead all aspects of the installation of data center cooling systems (air & liquid), ensuring compliance with design specifications.
Quickly respond to and resolve any infrastructure related issues to minimize downtime.
Develop standardize cost structure for mechanical and electrical systems implementation across worldwide sites
Develop, manage, maintain, and assist with contract negotiation of new and existing vendors
Work closely with the suppliers to coordinate design criteria with budgetary issues and ongoing maintenance and operation of existing facilities
Work in partnership with the Facilities to lead & develop standard methodologies and management of facilities & services projects,
Develop, document, and drive lessons learned, process improvements, cost, and schedule savings initiatives throughout the project lifecycle process
What we need to see:
Bachelors /Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) and a minimum of 8+ years of experience in designing and implementing manufacturing sites and air/liquid cooling solutions in data centers.
Proven track record in construction management and budgeting for facilities infrastructure
Successful track record of defining facility power and conditioning requirements and communicating to all levels of management and suppliers
Expertise in facilities project management, design, and construction, including industry practices, forms of contract, risk management and quality assurance.
General knowledge of building, fire, mechanical, electrical, cooling, and plumbing codes and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in using simulation and modeling software for thermal analysis (e.g., CFD tools).
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for data center infrastructure
Experience in Building Management Systems controls, develop requirements, design, and implementation.
Experience in coordinating with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Ability to develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Excellent negotiation skills and handling third party relationships such as Contract manufactures, contractors, Facility management, city/state, foreign regulations.
Project management of capital infrastructure projects from project initiation to closeout ranging in size from $10K-$100M.
Ability to present technical concepts and project updates to non-technical stakeholders.
