As anbased in North Carolina (Cary/Raleigh, Charlotte, or other locations in North Carolina), you’ll play a crucial role in cleaning up our communities and improving our environment. You’ll lead environmental investigation and remediation design projects for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps through our award-winning Navy Comprehensive Long-Term Environmental Action Navy (CLEAN) Program. With over 25 years of success, Jacobs is a trusted partner in delivering impactful projects to our Navy clients.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead and Manage Projects : Plan, staff, schedule, and budget projects while ensuring quality, consistency, and safety.
  • Collaborate and Coordinate : Work with subcontractors, internal support staff, and subject matter experts.
  • Technical Excellence : Analyze data, prepare technical reports, and design and implement pilot studies and remedial systems.
  • Client Interaction : Engage with clients and regulators, present information, and facilitate discussions on site management strategies.
  • Mentorship and Growth : Provide motivation and direction to project teams, and benefit from mentorship opportunities to help you grow your career at Jacobs.
Here's what you'll need

What You’ll Need

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, environmental science, geology, or a related technical field.
  • Experience : Proven experience in environmental projects, including site investigation and/or remediation, subcontractor oversight, and managing project teams.
  • Certifications : 40-hour HAZWOPER certification or the ability to obtain and maintain it.
  • Location : Local to North Carolina or willing to relocate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with USEPA regulations, including CERCLA and RCRA.
  • DoD Experience : Experience managing DoD projects or working with the DoD Environmental Restoration Program.
  • Advanced Degrees and Certifications : Master’s degree in a related field and/or certifications such as PE, PG, or PMP.
  • US Citizenship : Required for this position.
