Job Description

Position Objective

The Corporate FX Salesperson is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Recognized subject matter expert within one area. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Excellent communication skills required to negotiate, including at a senior level. Provides advanced judgment and conducts in-depth quantitative or qualitative analysis to solve problems and develop new, innovative solutions. Required to think beyond existing solutions, assumptions, or current knowledge of sophisticated areas.

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Experience advising on foreign exchange, currency derivative, or financial markets sales with a top investment, commercial bank or similar.
  • Understanding of risk management tools and techniques.
  • Broad knowledge of currency options, derivatives and structuring solutions, and e-commerce solutions for FX.
  • Good knowledge of the overall client / bank relationship
  • Knowledge of Interest Rate and / or Commodity derivative markets and products would also be preferable.
  • Understanding of technology trends, treasury technology and e-FX related opportunities and solutions.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Independent coverage of a portfolio of allocated clients in all aspects of the foreign exchange business.
  • Provide top-tier corporate clients with market / execution / e-FX related opportunities and solutions.
  • Help to develop and work on implementation of coordinated (local, regional and/or global) strategy across specified product lines - FX.
  • Achieve ambitious goals in both market and wallet share from the identified client franchise
  • Enhance technical product knowledge.
  • Assist clients on non-market risk management challenges, for example, balance sheet, cash-flow/earnings risk analysis/trapped liquidity and strategic, episodic driven hedging discussions.
  • Build relationships with related sales and solutions groups across FX, markets and banking to help source origination opportunities and promote cross selling across business lines.
  • Identify business opportunities and drive initiatives with focus on delivery.
  • Develop a deep and broad personal “trusted advisor” relationship with all primary and team clients, aiming to a foster a strong relationship with key top-level decision makers.
  • Support acquisition campaigns and client events; ensure that clients are presented with opportunities and solutions in the field of FX products.
  • Initiate and participate in marketing activities to support customer acquisition and share with the rest of the teams.
  • Provide active feedback on emerging product needs of customers, competitive practices, and ideas on process/product improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with internal product and credit programs/policies and relevant country regulations.
  • Act in the best ethical way and in line with Citi’s Policies and Standards.

Qualifications:

  • Holding Derivatives License granted by Capital Markets Board, immediately effective
  • Previous experience in client-facing roles with proven track record on growing and maintaining relationships through value added service and commercial skills.
  • An entrepreneurial approach for business origination and developing new relationships.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Multi-lingual: Fluency in Turkish and English language.
  • Bachelor’s/Universitydegree, master’s degree preferred.
