Description
As a Product Designer at Shazam, you will work on an international, cross-functional team and be able to collaborate with other designers, engineers, and product managers. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. You will be responsible for the design, development and implementation for a diverse set of innovative projects. As a part of Apple, you will have the opportunity to grow as a designer, develop new skills, and gain new experience developing new ideas that impact users all around the world.In this position you will be working on both greenfield product development projects within the music domain, and designing new functionality into existing products for our many users. We are looking for an empathetic, self-motivated, and innovative designer to help conceptualize and ship beautiful features–from small improvements to big groundbreaking innovations.The Shazam team is located in Cupertino, San Diego, New York, and London. The design team and this role is located in our London office and you will be reporting to a manager based in Cupertino.
Minimum Qualifications
- A portfolio demonstrating strong visual design sense, valuing beautiful simplicity and smart consistency (please add link with your resume)
- Experience across all phases of the product design process: ideation, research, prototyping, implementation
- Strong understanding of Design languages across multiple platforms, including all Apple products as well as Android and Web
- Familiarity with Design tools such as Sketch, Zeplin, Principle (or similar) and Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to work in a team environment and cross-functionally, working in a fast-paced yet highly collaborative environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to apply Shazam's visual aesthetic, tone of voice, and interactions to preexisting and new features and products

- Bachelors Degree in Product Design, Graphic Design, Media Arts or similar preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience designing for digital product and/or apps
- Proficiency in graphic design, motion graphics, typography, color, layout, etc.
- Appreciation and application of consistency, but with a flexible mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Seeks answers through research
- Attention to detail (microcopy, interactions, pixel perfect UI)
- Ability to create rapid prototypes
