DESCRIPTION

Key job responsibilities
- Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations
- Assemble and test with emphasis to detail an assortment of avionic, electrical-mechanical assemblies, handle and install fiber-optics, and related hardware
- Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated
- Supports some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems
- Participate in process improvements, maintain floor stock inventory
- You will independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables
- Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance
- Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (Using pallet jacks, kit carts, etc)
- Your work may include contributing to improving work instructions and safety procedures
Additional Requirements: - Willing to work all shifts (days, evenings, staggered shifts) overtime and weekends as needed. Estimated shift times 1st shift: 6am-2:30PM 2nd shift: 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Shift will vary, depending on program needs
- Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
- Able to lift-up to 25lbs. unassistedCandidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
A day in the life

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
- 1+ years relevant working with your hands such as kitchen or back of house, mechanics or general assembly.
- 1 year + experience in fast paced team environment.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 1+ years of hands-on experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices (i.e., automated and manual torque wrenches, torque drivers, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi-meters), as well as standard hand tools
- Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements
- Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment
- Prior military service a plus
