Job responsibilities

  • Executes infrastructure solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
  • Lead team of cloud engineers
  • Implement infrastructure as code practices using tools like Terraform to automate deployment and scaling process, reducing manual intervention, and minimising errors.
  • Guides and assists others in the areas of building appropriate level designs on AWS that are highly available, fault tolerant, and scalable, incorporating SRE principles to ensure reliability and gaining consensus from peers where appropriate.
  • Optimize system performance and resource utilisation by fine-tuning AWS services configurations and implementation monitoring and alerting mechanism to identify and address performance bottlenecks.
  • Working with SRE teams with observability and monitoring for capacity planning and design scalable architecture that can accommodate future growth and sudden increase in demand.
  • Documents and shares knowledge within your organization via internal forums and communities of practice

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Formal training or certification on infrastructure/software engineering concepts.
  • Hands-on practical experience in system/solution design, and operational stability that align with business goals and requirements considering factors like performance, security, reliability, availability, observability, and compliance.
  • Hands-on understanding of Various AWS services and knowing how to architect solutions using the services to meet different use case and requirements.
  • Experience in provisioning AWS infrastructure through Terraform.
  • Experience with migrating on premises workloads to AWS, designing hybrid cloud architectures, implementing the data migration strategies, application refactoring and legacy system integrations.
  • Familiarity with AWS logging and monitoring services.
  • Exposure in developing, debugging, and maintaining code with one or more modern programming languages. (Python/Java).
  • Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency.
