The Head of MENA Equities Sales is a senior-level position responsible for assisting local Markets clients with all their needs in the Equities Markets.Responsibilities:

  • Open new product lines with existing/new clients, market Citigroup’s execution capabilities, and offer certain clients full sales trading and trading coverage
  • Articulate Citi's position around regulation/market structure and knowledge of equity trading and market issues to advise clients on implementation of different trading strategies
  • Develop new relationships, cement current relationships, and share existing historical relationship with Citi colleagues
  • Cross-sell into Swaps / ETFs / PB / Derivatives etc. while contributing to team strategy
  • Lead strong governance and controls
  • Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
  • Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
  • Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation
  • Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to you
  • Obtain and maintain allregistrations/licenseswhich are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience
  • Sales trading and solution business experience preferred
  • Existing client relationships and institutional client-specific knowledge
  • Demonstrated understanding of equity analysis, market dynamics and fundamentals
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of financial institutions, asset classes and products
  • Proven negotiation, persuasion and client-relationship building skills
  • Fluency in additional languages preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred

This assessment will be carried out through extensive interviews, self-disclosures, permitted criminal record checks, regulated reference checks, credit checks and other background screening checks.
