The Role
The Senior Project Manager position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on collaboration, leadership, negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving. You will be responsible for leading multiple customer engagements and projects that drive adoption and usage for VMW by BC's solutions, ensuring success from initiation to completion, and employing governance over all key aspects like scope, timelines, financials, risks, changes, resources, subcontractors, and others to achieve both high project profitability and customer satisfaction.
Ideal candidates are likely to work on projects that require security clearances. Candidates who have previously possessed such security clearances are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
Ensure projects are well defined and planned, executed efficiently, and delivered with high quality and predictability.
Identify and manage changes to scope, and properly execute the change management process, as an opportunity to assess further sales opportunities and expansion of the PSO footprint.
Create and maintain project schedules that include tasks, deliverables, and milestones, with planned start and finish dates, duration, and resources assigned to each activity within a complex, multi-workstream portfolio.
Manage the budget for the work to be performed, and generate and maintain an accurate revenue forecast for a project or portfolio of projects.
Plan, manage, and execute clear and effective project communications (both verbal and written)
Effective use of processes to identify, assess, and control threats to the success of the project.
Consistent adherence to PMO project administration standards, policies, and deadlines (project, repository, reports, forms, etc)
Manage internal and external cross-team dependencies, coordinating initiatives and addressing blocking issues across teams. Escalate issues requiring attention from Delivery, Sales, Legal, or other relevant teams as necessary.
Manages large team projects comprising multiple roles/functions, multi-location based, with multi-cultural considerations
Maintain complete documentation and follow organizational processes to ensure successful adoption and usage of VMW by BC's products.
Take ownership and accountability for projects that you will be leading.
Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, business flows, and solutions delivery processes.
Participate actively in developing the ANS PSO practice by bringing together thought leadership & industry experience.
Actively demonstrate commercial awareness and stay within the scope of the contracted work.
Maintain project information, including requirements, scope, deliverables, revenue forecasts, cost estimates, timelines, resource utilization, status reports, timesheets, milestone completion forms, and other relevant details.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure; being a self-starter who works both independently and as a collaborative team player
Pre-Requisites
Location: US East Coast or Central time zones
On-site at Office Location: near some of Broadcom's offices, required to work onsite during the whole work week.
English is required, and fluency in Spanish is desirable for working with customers in LATAM.
Ability to travel up to 20% if required.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
Security Clearance for work with U.S. government entities is highly desirable.
Bachelor's and 12+ years of related experience in IT Project Mgmt with recent, real-world experience in large, complex design, deployment, and migration projects (Master's Degree preferred)
PMP (Project Management Professional by PMI) or equivalent certification is required
A strong technical background in networking, load balancing and security is required, with technical certifications being desirable.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $103,000 - $164,000
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
