Intermediate Analyst is a developing professional role. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information.

What you’ll do

  • Proficiency in team processes, specifically a subject matter expert in maintenance of Global Financial Company Identifiers for securities of interest.

  • Liaise with other operational teams globally such as Risk, Finance to ensure that a globally consistent model is followed with respect to this critical reference data.

  • Cross-regionalmetrics collation, implementation, training and accuracy checking on a weekly basis to ensure adequate for Senior Management.

  • Involved in key projects for unit.

  • Delivers daily project work and escalation management, routine and defined tasks, while developing knowledge of the broader context in which work is being performed.

  • Secondary procedure owner, coordinate changes/updates across team processes to be considered for procedural update timely and obtain appropriate approvals and catalogue with Data Quality Team.

  • Solely responsible for monitoring enhancement testing within system, delegating JIRAs to colleagues participating to review if fit for purpose, provide feedback, training, multiple weekly updates on progress to technology, as well as have colleagues volunteer to fulfil check out as and when required.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

What we’ll need from you

  • Job related relevant experience

  • Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information.

  • Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems.

  • Familiarity with resources such as Bankers Almanac, Bloomberg, Moody’s, Fitch, Standard & Poors.

  • Strong aptitude with PC skills including MS Windows, Word and Excel.

  • Possess excellent interpersonal, business writing, and verbal/presentation skills including good communication skills with peers and management also with the ability to be assertive.
