• Lead and coordinate complex tax compliance and advisory engagements for high-profile clients, focusing on state and local tax strategies that align with business objectives.
• Oversee tax compliance accounts for hedge funds, private equity funds, and real estate funds, ensuring rigorous review of state tax adjustments, and sign-off on K-1s and state and local partnership tax returns.
• Direct day-to-day operations across multiple accounts and locations, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery.
• Mentor, coach, and develop managers, seniors, and staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

• Advanced technical knowledge in state and local tax for asset management and/or real estate clients
• Demonstrated leadership in delivering firm-wide trainings and knowledge sharing.
• Ability to build and sustain impactful relationships with clients and firm leadership.
• Create a positive, inclusive environment where teams thrive and collaborate.
• Proactively identify key tax technical issues, escalate appropriately, and consult with partners and executive leadership.
• Exceptional organizational skills, managing multiple assignments and deadlines with strategic oversight.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business discipline, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant tax experience; or advanced degree in tax or law with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• CPA (or equivalent internationally recognized accounting designation), Enrolled Agent, and/or LLM certification required.
• Significant experience serving clients in the wealth & asset management and/or real estate industries
• Broad exposure to federal income taxation and advanced expertise in state and local tax.

• Outstanding leadership, managerial, organizational, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated success in mentoring, training, and developing others.
• Deep understanding of building and sustaining client relationships.
