Asa Principal Software Engineer in the Military Avionics Center of Excellence(COE) here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in developingcutting-edge software solutions for military avionics applications. Yourexpertise and technical leadership will contribute to the successful design anddevelopment of software systems that ensure the safety, security, andefficiency of military aircraft.You will report directly to a Sr. Engineering Manager in the Military AvionicsCenter of Excellence and you'll work out of our Phoenix Deer Valley Arizonalocation on a Hybrid work schedule.In this role, you will have a significant impact on the advancement of avionicstechnology, ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance. You willcollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements andprovide innovative software solutions. Your technical expertise andproblem-solving skills will contribute to the successful implementation ofprojects and the resolution of technical challenges.

• Lead the design and development of software systems for militaryavionics applications
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to cross-functional teams

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technicaldiscipline such as computer science, electrical engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in software development, preferably inthe avionics industry
• Extensive experience designing and debugging complex embedded softwaresystems
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Ada
• Experience with software development tools, version control systems, andtesting methodologies• Experience with low level software functions such as boot or devicedrivers
• Experience with safety-critical software development standards (DO-178C)
• Knowledge of military avionics systems and standards (MIL-STD-1553,ARINC 429, etc.)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
