Responsibilities*

• Guide and coach a team on Scrum practices.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (for example, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives).
• In a Scaled Agile model, facilitate scaled planning f or the team (for example, Pre Planning/ Preparation and PI Planning Events) and represent the team in Scrum of Scrums/ART Syncs.
• Help the team define norms/agreements, like a Definition of Ready and Definition of Done, and enforce the agreements.
• Ensure the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog (in collaboration with the PO)
• Facilitate dependency management/risk management /impediment removal for the team.
• Promote /facilitate communication and collaboration within the Agile team to support value delivery and Sprint commitments.
• Provide visibility into the Agile team’s delivery plans and progress against plan to stakeholders.
• Measure team delivery, maturity, and performance and review the metrics with the team to identify improvement opportunities.
• Work under guidance and mentorship from senior Scrum Masters or Agile Coaches.

Experience Range*

7 - 10 Years

Foundational skills*

• Experience being the Scrum Master for at least 5 years for a Scrum team.

• Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc)

• Experience with assisting a historically waterfall team and organization with adopting Scrum.

• Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games

• Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burn down techniques,

• Numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc)

• Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency

• Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burn down techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc)

• Experience with Jira or Rally

• Experience writing Features and breaking down features into stories
