JOB DESCRIPTION

The main function of this position is to respond and resolve complex service calls, providing senior technical support and troubleshooting and/or team leader functions. Additional responsibilities related to the technical delivery of small service jobs, time and material, and preventive maintenance may be assigned as well. These customers will have various products installed that fall into the – HVAC, automation controls, life safety, fire, and security systems category as well as their associated computer systems. Level 4 Technicians will be expected to coach and mentor more junior technicians. The goal is to ensure system up-time and efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Can independently troubleshoot and repair complex issues
  • Can program 2-3 systems at an expert level
  • Perform complex system back-ups and install appropriate updates and patches
  • Build quotes, sell, and attend necessary business meetings with customers
  • Program EBI’s at an expert level
  • Understand and apply knowledge of virtual machines, system imaging, and networking to serve the needs of the customers for complex issues (may need to possess certifications)
  • Oversee the technical work for high profile clients
  • Complete required documentation for work performed or other contractual obligations
  • Proper use of safety personal protection equipment
  • Security and other clearances as required by customer

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of experience in Fire/HVAC/Security/Controls Automation
  • Valid Texas FAL License
  • Certifications required for system-specific work
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to travel throughout the service area, with occasional overnight stays
  • Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to Honeywell
