As a Global Channel Business Insights Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Collaborate Strategically and Develop Programs: Partner with internal 3M teams, including the Transportation & Electronics Business Group (TEBG) Global Commercial, Product Platforms, and Vertical Sales, to craft comprehensive marketing and sales initiatives that drive growth and achieve global commercial vertical targets. Leverage Point-of-Sale (POS) data to gain deep insights into accounts and maximize partnership value.
  • Deliver Market Insights and Support Strategic Focus: Deliver market insights and benchmarking analysis to channel partners, setting a strategic focus for growth and enhancing the value of Joint Business Planning (JBP) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Contribute to Channel Strategy and Manage Initiatives: Contribute to the development of the Transportation & Electronics Business Group’s (TEBG) channel strategy, influencing Customer Incentive Plans (CIP) and channel stratification to propel growth.
  • Provide Category Management and Implement Best Practices: Provide expert category management guidance, implementing best practices within the TEBG channel, and supporting business development and vendor consolidation efforts.
  • Engage in Cross-Functional Collaboration and Drive Engagement: Work closely with marketing and sales teams to execute global strategies locally, collaborate with 3M Account Managers and channel partners, and drive engagement and recognition programs for stakeholders using PowerBI technologies and POS data insights.

Your Skills and Expertise

To ensure your success in this role from day one, 3M requires the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Seven (7) years of experience in analytical, business, or sales, and/or marketing roles within private, public, government, or military environments.

Additional qualifications that could further enhance your success in this role include:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, marketing, analytics, or a related field, completed and verified prior to your start date.
  • Industry Experience: Experience and familiarity with best practices in the B2B distribution industry.
  • Experience in technical B2B distribution.
  • Strong proficiency in data tools such as PowerBI, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Work location:

  • Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
