As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing analytics solutions that drive substantial business value. You'll work closely with a diverse group of stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into precise technical specifications. Your role is crucial in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring the successful execution of data-driven projects.
Your key responsibilities
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable data architectures, both on-premises and in the cloud. You'll manage the efficient storage, integration, validation, and security of data throughout its lifecycle. Your contributions will be vital to the delivery of processes, solutions, or projects, requiring you to exercise judgment and select appropriate methodologies to inform recommendations. You will be responsible for meeting your own targets, which will impact the performance of your team, and may guide junior colleagues to achieve project deliverables.
- Design and implement scalable data architectures
- Ensure efficient data lifecycle management
- Contribute to the delivery of key projects and solutions
- Architect and refine AI data architecture and modern data pipelines, integrating agentic AI solutions for clients in the industrials, energy, or power and utility sectors.
- Leveraging your knowledge of industrials, energy or power and utility systems and processes to define data requirements, gather, profile and analyze large scale structured and unstructured source data, and develop AI/GenAI/Agentic AI solutions
- Develop the mechanisms to ingest, analyze, validate, normalize, and clean data to support standardization, customization and ad hoc data analysis needs
- Evaluate and implement cutting-edge tools and methodologies to enhance data engineering productivity.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of business analysts, solution architects, and data scientists to develop strategic enterprise solutions and data products.

- A deep understanding of the value chain and core processes within the energy, or power systems sectors.
- Proficiency in AI, GenAI/Agentic AI, relational SQL databases, DevOps, continuous integration, and data lake concepts.
- A proven ability to design and maintain complex data integrations and ETL pipelines.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of leading projects across globally distributed teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical specifications
- Participate in client sessions and lead workstream teams
- Manage resource plans, budgets, and project statuses
To qualify for the role, you must have
- A Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Power Systems Engineering, AI, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, AI, and analytics.
- A track record of implementing complex data solutions and familiarity with cloud services, data engineering programming languages, and data architecture.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience using:
- AI, GenAI/Agentic AI
- Relational SQL databases
- DevOps and continuous integration
- Microsoft Fabric, Databricks/Snowflake
- GitHub
- Experience in cloud computing, data architecture design, data integration, and software engineering
- Professional certifications as defined by service line policies
- Relationship management skills
- Critical thinking and emotional agility

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $105,100 to $192,700. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $126,100 to $218,900. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
