Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interactions, Human Factors, or a related field.
  • AND 1+ year(s) design work or research experience.
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis, and preferably with research methodologies (usability studies, interviews, site visits, surveys, user modeling, card sorting or a related methods).

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Responsibilities
  • You will use sense-making and apply statistical analysis to distill data for a component or feature, then share accessible insights that improve design and engineering processes for that component or feature.
  • You will use an assigned customer definition in order to inform product strategy. You’ll also explore new solutions and apply UX testing to uncover insights for continuous improvements.
  • You will study a specific aspect of the funnel in order to gain insights into user behavior. Specifically, you’ll use analysis to understand churn and the reason for a component or feature area.
  • You will participate as an ambassador for UX research. This will involve mentoring other disciplines, recruiting programs for research, and helping put on large-scale customer learning events.
  • You will work in an agile development process and juggle multiple deliverables.
  • You’ll need to be detail-oriented and thorough in your approach to research methodology, but flexible enough to work within time and product constraints.
