Assistant Transport Manager

Your role:

Responsible for transporting inbound, outbound, and return deliveries.

Oversee overall transport flows actively to ensure timely pickup, departure, and delivery.

Handle exceptions, including but not limited to space issues, rate issues, milestone missing, booking errors, and more.

Onboard and provide training to new bookers as needed.

Maintain data of suppliers, consignees, supply relations, and routes/templates for TMS in the defined scope.

Act as the primary contact for suppliers and factories for TMS systems and resolve system issues with the support of key users.

Obtain and analyze data from the transport system to formulate adjustments to the schedules and design new transportation schedules

Lead and drive various logistics improvement projects and also streamline the existing way of working to ensure end to end service achieved with the best optimized cost

You're the right fit if:

• Degree holder in Logistics and Supply Chain or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics area
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Macro or VBA
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau or Python would be a plus.
• In depth knowledge of transport planning techniques and how to apply them in different situations
• Project management / Lean/ Green belt training
• Knows SAP and TMS applications
• Knows how to systematically draw up a route planning
