As a Data Engineer in Amazon Healthcare Security, you'll start your day collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand security requirements and translate them into technical solutions. You might begin with a morning standup where you align with Data Scientists and Business Intelligence Engineers on ongoing projects, then dive into designing new data pipelines using infrastructure as code.Throughout your day, you'll leverage your expertise in SQL and distributed systems to build scalable solutions that enhance our healthcare security infrastructure. You could be fine-tuning a data model in the morning, participating in architecture review sessions at midday, and mentoring team members on best practices in the afternoon. You'll regularly engage with Product Managers to ensure our data solutions align with business objectives while maintaining strict security and compliance standards.
Working in our fast-paced environment, you'll balance immediate project needs with long-term strategic initiatives.

- 3+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience as a data engineer or related specialty (e.g., software engineer, business intelligence engineer, data scientist) with a track record of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets
- Experience with SQL
