The Associate is a senior level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets, as well as in providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. The Associate also serves as an intermediary in trading for clients. The overall objective of this role is to act as a strategic advisor to our clients by formulating investment strategies and raising capital for clients.Responsibilities:

  • Perform client asset technical evaluations, including analyzing and delivering data to identify key performance drivers and economic analysis
  • Generate presentation materials for pre-marketing documents and data room presentations using client or public data for support
  • Lead or assist with the coordination of executing mandates and external project meetings, as required
  • Assist with the development of new business activities
  • Prepare data rooms based on data supplied by clients
  • Market assets to potential buyers by presenting analysis to large groups and following up on buyer’s questions and answers
  • Assist with miscellaneous technical project related duties, as required
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • 10-20 years of experience in a related senior level role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Spotfire, economics software such as Aries and PHDWin, and other analytical software is a plus
  • Ability to demonstrate discretion dealing with confidential matters
  • Fundamental knowledge of cash flow, economics and rate of return
  • Demonstrated ability to assess technical risk in economic valuations
  • Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/project in a high-risk environment
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven influencing and relationship management skills


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
