Your key responsibilities:

  • Lead and conduct comprehensive HR due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures
  • Develop and outline initial plans for integration, divestiture, or standalone scenarios, including establishing timelines and key milestones.
  • Evaluate the target company's HR policies, practices, benefits, compensation structures, talent management, and culture.
  • Identify and analyze potential HR related risks or opportunities in transactions and other liabilities including compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Assess and define the HR functional operating model and requirements for Day 1 of the transaction and the subsequent period.
  • Provide comprehensive reports and recommendation on potential key issues, including future risk factors on deal structure from an HR perspective, including retention strategies, transition plans, and cost synergies to senior management and stakeholders
  • Conduct detailed analyses of incremental estimates and cost models, including both run rate and one-time costs, for buy-side and sell-side transactions.
  • Facilitate communication with clients, stakeholders, and Target HR representatives to ensure a thorough understanding of human capital plan and policies and their implications.
  • Demonstrate expertise in designing and delivering tailored transaction solutions that ensure smooth integration and alignment with client objectives.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, HR, and operations, to ensure comprehensive due diligence.
  • Ensure high-quality, timely, and accurate delivery of work on global client projects as part of the global distribution team.
  • Support development of thought leadership, collaterals, tools, techniques, methodologies to enhance the Rewards and transactions business and broaden capability offering within the practice.
  • Drive effective client communication and build relations with client and project counterparts across global locations.
  • Supervise a team of due diligence staff or seniors, providing guidance and ensuring the quality of their work.

  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively, ensuring high performance and development.
  • Experience with the full life cycle of an acquisition, including managing HR-related due diligence activities.
  • Strong understanding of HR functions, with the ability to provide strategic insights and recommendations based on detailed analysis.
  • Proficient knowledge of legal and regulatory environments related to employee rewards and compensation.
  • Ability to provide timely and effective reporting of findings and post-deal concerns to clients.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to stakeholders.
  • Solid financial and business acumen, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, think on one’s feet, and develop solutions in a dynamic environment.
  • High integrity and commitment to working in challenging and evolving environments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with broader teams, upskill resources, and lead smaller projects and surveys.
  • Ability to manage quality delivery with tight timelines

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 - 12 years of work experience.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in HR with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, or related areas.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, Workforce talent & Unions, International knowledge of mergers and acquisitions will be added advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Experienced team leader who has successfully led, motivated, coached and developed high performing teams.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in communication, presentation, analysis and research with strong skills in excel, survey tools, power BI and PowerPoint etc
  • Complete understanding of HR M&A, Post Merger Integration, HR Due Diligence.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities of collaboration across boundaries and working in highly matrix, ambiguous and challenging situations
