Responsibilities

The successful candidate will build and manage relationships at all levels in the ecosystem. This includes Carrier BD/technical teams and their leadership teams. He or she will interface with product management, engineering development, procurement and supply chain teams to promote and create demand for Qualcomm products. The Director, Carrier Gateway Product Marketing will work closely with the technical and product teams in Qualcomm headquarters as well as coordinate North American activities. Key responsibilities include introducing and selling Qualcomm’s portfolio of products to Carriers, broadband ISPs, and OEM partners to secure design wins. Job responsibilities include:

  • Evangelize Qualcomm broadband products at Carriers and ISP’s

  • Develop a comprehensive multi-year business strategy to drive strong growth

  • Cultivate a partner eco-system to provide solutions for Carrier Broadband

  • Drive business strategy for NA Carriers holistically in close collaboration with BUs and direct OEM account sales

  • Manage account priorities and go-to-market strategies and drives the engagement.

  • Identify upcoming RFPs and seed features into requirements

  • Gather Carrier features to drive into BU product roadmap to meet Carrier and market needs

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.

Associate's degree or equivalent degree and 10+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.

High school Diploma or equivalent and 12+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

The Director, Carrier Gateway Product Marketing must have extensive experience and contacts with North American Carriers & broadband ISPs as well as developing relationships at large, complex organizations globally. Additional Key components of the role:

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology or related business field

  • 10+ years in business development, sales, product marketing or related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business or technology preferred

  • 15+ years in business development, sales, product marketing, or product management in the Telco and broadband ISP industry

  • Experience at a semiconductor company with wireless communications products

  • Demonstrated strong broadband product and technology knowledge. Ideally broadband internet Product / Engineering background in addition to strong business development skills

  • Experience with the networking Customer Premise Equipment ecosystem and understanding of the big picture for broadband internet services

  • Demonstrated ability to shape customer requirements and positioning solutions to capture the opportunity

  • Strategic account management expertise, the ability to manage change and the desire to operate effectively across organizations and customers

  • Demonstrated ability to build and carry out a strategic plan with operational efficiency by setting strong goals and milestones for technical execution and financial metrics

  • Experience in design win and region sell-through partnerships with CPE OEMs. Demonstrated experience in shaping the requirement with end customer

  • Expert technical understanding and hands-on experience in broadband CPE industry including being first point of contact for technical and product issues

  • Proficient and detailed understanding of supply chain, product development and marketing

  • Experience in negotiating and managing NDAs and component pricing with large customers

  • Self-starter with the ability to build a network within the organization and to manage deadlines / priorities with limited guidance

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to travel as needed

Pay range:

$181,000.00 - $288,500.00
