Role Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Network software and Automation architect who possess a deep understanding of network engineering, software development, and automation. This role involves designing and implementing scalable network solutions, automating network deployment and operations, you will be leading architectural findings to provide solutions to the business and stakeholder requirements within Bank of America’s Internal Networks.

Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for development of software solutions for network management and automation.

• Assisting the team with debug and troubleshooting of software issues, manage and maintain Linux servers and systems

• Develop microservices, APIs, service templates that define the services that we provide to our customers.

• Lead the team with regards to routine system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Ensure system security and compliance are in line with BOA best practices.

• Effectively use Jira and Confluence to manage and document work.

• collaborate with DevOps engineers to streamline their operation and process.

• Automate repetitive tasks and workflows using Python and shell scripts within virtual environment.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment automation. Deploy code to our development, QA, Staging and Production servers using our continuous integration and deployment pipeline platform.

• Test new services are functioning as expected using our testing framework and add new test cases to the test suite to continuously improve our quality assurance bar.

• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to streamline operation and process.

• Participate where required in on team on call rota to support application users.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand network requirements and translate them into technical solutions that can be explained to management and team.

• Lead architectural discussions and decision-making processes related to network and automation.

• Create and maintain technical documentation for systems and processes.

• Document code and systems configurations.

• Experience as a network architect or in a similar senior-level network engineering role

• Background in designing and implementing enterprise-level network solutions.

• Proficiency in network protocols, services, and standards (TCP/IP, BGP, VLANs, VRF’s).

• Proficiency in Python programming and Linux OS. (Ubuntu, CentOS,).

• Experience with network automation tools (Ansible).

• Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN) (Arista CVP, Cisco ACI)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Isac) tools (Terraform).

Skills that will help:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

• Advanced certifications in Networking (CCIE, JNCIE)

• Knowledge of database systems (SQL, Nautobot).

• Arista ACE Level 5+ or Cisco DevNet S/P/E
