As a Sr. Solutions Architect within AWS, you will help shape and deliver strategies to build broad adoption of Amazon's utility computing web services (e.g., Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon S3, EC2, CloudFront) among financial institutions and our ecosystem of system integrators and software partners. Your responsibilities will include: owning technical engagements for critical banking implementations; defining secure financial architectures that meet FFIEC guidelines; responding to requests for proposals (RFPs); developing deep expertise in AWS technologies; and serving as a subject matter expert on financial services security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.You will provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to NFP financial markets for cloud computing, working with a world-class sales and business development team. You will capture and share best practices within the AWS solution architect community while collaborating with and educating some of the brightest minds in financial technology. The ideal candidate will have experience with banking industry regulations, security standards, and compliance requirements for designing large-scale cloud computing solutions.Key job responsibilities
- Creating and implementing secure, compliant cloud architectures for financial institutions- Deep-dive technical discussions around financial system design and maintaining currency with FinTech trendsKey experience areas:- Executive Speaking and Presentation Skills – Technical whiteboarding, stakeholder presentations
- Technical – Financial services cloud architecture, payment systems, core banking solutions
- Operational – Financial systems operations, security, and compliance management
- Regulatory – Deep understanding of FFIEC IT Examination Handbook requirements, particularly regarding cloud computing- Advisory/Consulting experience with NFP financial institutions, credit unions, or insurance providers
- Knowledge of banking regulations (including FFIEC guidance), compliance frameworks, and financial industry standards
- Experience with FFIEC audit preparation and documentation requirements

Work/Life Balance
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Experience working with credit union regulators and examiners
- Familiarity with FFIEC's Cybersecurity Assessment Tool (CAT)
- Understanding of NCUA regulations and guidance
- Experience with credit union core banking systems and their cloud migration challenges
