What you will accomplish:

  • Lead and conduct complex employment-related investigations across multiple countries and regions, ensuring a fair, impartial, and confidential process.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on investigation findings, recommendations, and outcomes to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all investigations and outcomes.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of empathy balanced against an ability to provide direct feedback and confront witnesses with difficult information. You must be able to articulate findings to the business in a digestible way so that long-term sustainable solutions can be developed and applied.
  • Provide expert advice on employment relations matters, including disciplinary actions, absence and performance management and conflict resolution. Manage and resolve issues, including but not limited to, harassment, discrimination, and other workplace misconduct. Take high-level escalations when necessary.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of HR policies and processes to reflect changes in employment law and best practices. Collaborate with legal, compliance, and other partners to improve processes and policies.
  • Develop and improve investigation protocols and procedures to ensure consistency, efficiency and legal compliance across all regions.
  • Provide mediation and early intervention solutions.
  • Lead internal process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of HR services.
  • Educate and mentor management on investigation techniques, employment law, and leading practices in employee relations.
  • Support and action individual or collective redundancy cases.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CIPD) is preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience in employment relations, with at least 1 year specifically in an investigations' role.
  • Experienced in Ireland and UK employment law. Experience in other EMEA countries is beneficial such as France, Italy, Luxembourg, Czech Republic.
  • Experience running cross-country investigations and working in a distributed team.
  • Demonstrable track record of successfully handling complex employee relations cases and conducting sensitive investigations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels within the organisation.
  • High level of discretion and ethical judgement in handling confidential information and sensitive issues.
  • Experience in conducting facilitation and/or mediations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and changing environment. Agility within role is important.

Work Environment:This is a hybrid role based in Dublin, requiring both in-office presence and the flexibility to work remotely. Occasional travel to other offices or regions may be required.
