Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Software Engineer - .NET Developer in Charlotte, NC. Multiple openings.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Software Engineer - .NET Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products and being involved in the complete Software Development Life Cycle including analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Specific duties include:

  • Take full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code.
  • Consistently create optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs.
  • Work closely with the development team and product owners to plan and discuss on going feature development.
  • Perform work using various Microsoft technologies including .Net Framework 4.5/4.0/3.5/2.0/1.1, ASP.NET WebForms, MVC, SQL Server 2016/2008/2005.
  • Use web development technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery with data transfer done in XML and JSON formats with the web pages cross browser compatibility.
  • Implement client-side validations using jQuery/JavaScript and ASP.NET web forms data annotations to do validations on the model data.
  • Write queries using T-SQL Statements, Views, Stored Procedures in SQL Server 2012, 2016 for inserting /updating/deleting the data into relational tables.
  • Fix issues found in the code during various test phases like Unit and System Integration Testing.
  • Analyze the root cause for the issues and coming up with preventive measures to avoid the same in future releases.
  • Use Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Git as a version control. Create CI/CD build and release definitions by using octopus.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and 3 years of related experience.

Required Skills/Experience:
Must also have 36 months of experience with each of the following: 1) Being involved in the complete Software Development Life Cycle including analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. 2) Performing work using various Microsoft technologies including .Net Framework 4.5/4.0/3.5/2.0/1.1, ASP.NET WebForms, MVC, SQL Server 2016/2008/2005. 3) Using web development technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery with data transfer done in XML and JSON formats with the web pages cross browser compatibility. 4) Implementing client-side validations using jQuery/JavaScript and ASP.NET web forms data annotations to do validations on the model data. 5) Writing queries using T-SQL Statements, Views, Stored Procedures in SQL Server 2012, 2016 for inserting /updating/deleting the data into relational tables. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Master’s program.

This position is with U.S. Bank National Association, a U.S. Bank company. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $134,347 - $140,100.
