Description
We are looking for a senior engineer with strong programming skills to work on upcoming Apple products. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of drivers, APIs and transport protocols for new hardware and software releases at Apple. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys engaging at all layers of the software stack, from low level kernel drivers written in C++, to higher level APIs and frameworks written in Objective C or Swift. It is an opportunity to make significant contributions to the core technologies that underpin many audio/video features at Apple such as AVB, PCIe audio, and future projects. Some of the day to day responsibilities include:- Design, develop and debug audio drivers, protocols and APIs- Driver bringup for new platforms and peripherals related to audio transport and synchronization- Participate in monitoring industry standards bodies and new specification development- Participate in medium and large scale software engineering processes
Education & Experience
BS in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $124,600.00 and $230,600.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
