Job Description

In this role you will use your expertise to supervise EU, UK, and Israel regulatory developments, lead the regional export licensing program, and collaborate with internal and external corporate partners to lead programs that support the company's trade compliance efforts in the region.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Research local and regional trade regulations and rulings for: HS, ECCN/Export Classification, Country of Origin, import/export documentation requirements and valuation of products
  • Lead regional import/export classification efforts; oversee EU, UK and Israel export license process
  • Work with regional teams to review impact of annual import/export regulatory changes upon company technology
  • Liaise with local Customs Authorities and other Governmental Agencies as required
  • Support local and regional customs requests for information
  • Support daily operations by providing guidance to regional teams and reviewing/releasing urgent export orders as needed
  • Lead regional import/export compliance awareness training; develop and implement standardized trade compliance processes and procedures
  • Support Denied Parties screening efforts for customers/suppliers
  • Perform internal import/export audits, report on results and drive remedial actions to resolution
  • Drive continuous improvement, best practices and standardization for trade compliance programs
  • Ensure reporting of key trade compliance matters and metrics to the KLA Trade Compliance Director and regional management as appropriate
  • Act as a GTC liaison with cross-functional teams on EU/UK supply chain initiatives
  • Support the completion of annual GTC objectives

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of Global Trade Compliance experience
  • BS or BA degree
  • Solid communication, project management and Powerpoint skills
  • Proficiency using regional licensing portals, SAP/GTS systems and MS office tools
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and critical thinking skills with a high attention to detail
  • Solid knowledge of EU trade regulations is required; demonstrated work experience with Israel import/export regulations
  • Work experience in a semiconductor or high technology industry is helpful
  • Ability to collaborate with multi-functional global teams and drive issues to conclusion
  • Flexibility with changing priorities, as well as shifting regulatory and customer conditions
  • Motivated self-starter; strong influencing and collaborating skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion with confidential matters
  • Great teammate with a positive demeanor
  • Self-starter and able to work with minimal direction
  • Previous experience managing programs
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Proficient in English as well as Hebrew; proficiency in German a plus
