Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant technical engineering experience

    • OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Significant relevant technical engineering experience

    • OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND signficant technical engineering experience

    • OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

Responsibilities
  • Receiving guidance from an engineer, shift lead or lab manager, and leading other technicians, to determine which process tasks to perform to achieve the agreed levels of operational throughput per shift.
  • Performing the manufacturing processes to the defined specs. with guidance from an engineer, Shift Leader or lab manager, and leading other technicians to correctly operate the process.
  • Work with Shift leader to validate that manufacturing equipment is operating within expected parameters with guidance from an engineer, lab manager, or other technicians.
  • Performing manufacturing quality inspections to document process outcomes with guidance from an engineer, lab manager, or other technicians.
  • Confirming optical fiber geometries by taking images and comparing readings against established test cases with guidance from an engineer, lab manager, or other technicians.
  • Recording manufacturing data and driving basic analyses to identify bugs, defects, or failure rates with guidance from an engineer, lab manager, or other technicians.
  • Documenting daily progress and recording manufacturing throughput with links to spreadsheets, photos, and/or other supporting documents with guidance from an engineer, lab manager, and leading other technicians to carry out this task.
