As a Facilities Mechanical Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Ensures availability, reliability, and maintenance of mechanical and HVAC systems (e.g., oilfree air systems, HVAC systems, chilled water plant, boilers, environmental abatement systems, and environmental compliance exhaust) to support manufacturing, clean room, and research and development activities.
  • Supports daily tactical efforts in safety, reliability, and environmental objectives of facilities mechanical systems.
  • Designs and analyzes mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging and troubleshoots mechanical systems systematic issues and provides evaluation, recommendations, and solutions to resolve problems.
  • Develops engineering scope of work for mechanical projects and provides engineering design review and evaluation of mechanical systems.
  • Conducts feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs, directs support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication, and provides design information to drafting for packaging documentation.
  • Partners with business unit customers and internal customers to provide engineering solutions in support of their equipment and systems.
  • Partners with operations and maintenance service providers to ensure mechanical systems are maintained and operated within specified limits.
  • Develops mechanical systems roadmap and asset replacement strategy to ensure reliability, redundancy, and capacity are available for expansion of existing facilities, renovation, and growth.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

Minimum skills and experience that will get you noticed:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field with 4+ years of related experience

  • 2+ years of experience with Large-scalemanufacturing/mechanicalengineering facility services support and equipment repair
  • 2+ years of experience with identifying, analyzing, and solving immediate issues with technical equipment.
  • 2+ years of experience with mechanical (pumps, piping, valves, and other) and control (instrumentation, PCS, and other) systems

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters in mechanical engineering or related field with 2+ years of experience

2+ years of experience with the following:

  • Statistical Process Control (FMEA and JMP).
  • Production environment and/or with other facilities process systems.
  • Commissioning Mechanical systems such as pumps, boilers, chillers, HVAC units, and compressors.
  • Operations and maintenance of rotating machinery.
  • Project Management (planning, coordination, and integration)..
