Duties: Responsible for the development and implementation of key Enterprise Risk Management programs and Financial Risk Management. Report to the CEO of the U.S. Personal Banking business. Report to Head of In-Business Franchise Risk Appetite Program. Responsible for the development and implementation of an integrated Risk Appetite Program across risk categories, which aligns with enterprise guidelines and regulatory expectations. Support business level risk appetite framework for financial risk categories for domestic and international markets. Execute and complete risk appetite transformation/regulatory requirements (e.g. Consent Order deliverables) for Citigroup/Citibank N.A, which includes top-of-house retail credit risk appetite requirements and business level risk appetite requirements (e.g. U.S. Personal Banking) across risk categories (retail credit, wholesale credit, compliance, operational risk). Refine risk appetite metrics and key indicators and associated limit and thresholds for enhanced linkage between top-of-house risk appetite (e.g. Citigroup) and businesses (e.g. U.S. Personal Banking), enabling stronger connectivity between business strategic operating plan/capital plan and risk appetite. Design and lead holistic business risk control and governance implementation for the risk appetite program including committee/council orchestration, and escalation management to help manage risk appetite objectives. Enhance integrated business risk appetite monitoring capability for both quantity of risk and quality of risk management which includes management reporting, identifying opportunities for capital optimization for businesses by collaborating with quantification/limit/scenario design/BASEL RWA/capital planning teams. Develop and implement risk appetite training to disseminate risk appetite practices into day-to-day business/risk operation. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field, and 10 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation performing credit, operational, and compliance risk management in the financial services industry. Ten (10) years of experience must include: Assessing forecasting model/quantitative formulas, capital and stress loss, leveraging and analytical databases, limit and monitoring tool, and reporting data reconciliation; Evaluating monitoring and risk controls for retail credit portfolios leveraging key risk indicators and risk return appetite metrics. Identifying and monitoring business and industry drivers of risk, assessing latest risk profile, and determining the direction of risk for credit portfolios; Supporting regulatory and internal capital optimization by analyzing underlying data and formula, models for both regulatory and internal requirements; and Designing and implementing complex databases and reports using the with consistent programming logic and/or automation with data quality control. 40 hrs./wk.
