General Summary:

• Title: Staff Engineer

• Job function: USB team is looking for smart, innovative and motivated individuals to join the team to work on device drivers and tools for leading edge USB technologies used in Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets

• Skills/experience:

• 9+ years experience in Embedded systems, minimum 2 years’ experience in USB domain

• Drivers design and development on multiprocessor and multithreaded ASIC platforms. Good understanding of microprocessor, multiprocessor architecture. ARM, DSP, etc

• Good understanding of embedded programming concepts

• Strong C-Language skills

• Good understanding of Linux/RTOS drivers development

• Drivers development/support on USB, PCIe

• Good understanding and proficiency in C and assembly programming

• Experience in using debugging tools like Lauterbach/Trace32, Protocol Analyzers like Lecroy

• Ability to analyze, triage and debug complex system level problems and issues.

• Good analytical and problem solving skills

• Good communication skills

• People management / Technical management skills would be plus

• Responsibilities:

• Design and development of USB software on Qualcomm multiprocessor for Linux operating systems

• New Features/chipsets software requirements, scope of work, Hardware reviews, design and development for USB technology

• Technology leadership for complex issues debugging, new features design

• Collaborate and work with Hardware teams for Hardware reviews and develop low-level device driver software (Peripheral/Host/class drivers) for USB2/USB3

• Support the team with issues triage, system debug, clear email communication, and customer support

• Work with internal and external teams to implement and support new features in the USB drivers

• Lead USB Certification and Inter-operability support for Qualcomm chipsets

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Education requirements: BE/BTech/MTech – Electronics & Communication , Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science
