Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will:- Oversee the design and implement novel AI/ML solutions for complex healthcare challenges.- Balance theoretical knowledge with practical implementation.
- Work closely with customers and partners to understand their requirements.
- Drive technical vision and strategy for ML applications in healthcare.- Navigate ambiguity and create clarity in early-stage product development.- Establish best practices for ML development and deployment.
- Partner with leadership to define roadmap and strategic initiatives.
A day in the life
You will solve real-world problems by getting and analyzing large amounts of data, generate insights and opportunities, design simulations and experiments, and develop statistical and ML models. The team is driven by business needs, which requires collaboration with other Scientists, Engineers, and Product Managers across the Special Projects organization. You will prepare written and verbal presentations to share insights to audiences of varying levels of technical sophistication.

- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Biostatistics, or related quantitative field.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++.
- Experience with modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.).
- Expert knowledge of machine learning, deep learning and predictive modeling; solid understanding of large language models.
- 7+ years of industry experience in applied machine learning.
- At least 2 years of people management experience.
- Expertise in developing and deploying production ML systems.
- Track record of delivering complex, ambiguous projects from concept to production.
