We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Revenue Accounting and Operations to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play the lead role in our revenue accounting, close, reporting and business enablement. Responsibilities include establishing scalable revenue processes, policies, and procedures while being a business advisor to support the company's overall strategic objectives and growth plan. In addition, this role emphasizes developing people, enhancing processes and controls, and effective cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic and rapidly growth environment. This position will report to VP of Revenue Accounting and Operations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement revenue recognition policies and procedures. Stay updated on changes in revenue standards to ensure the company's practices are up to date. Resolve any discrepancies or disputes in revenue recognition in a timely and effective manner.
  • Oversee contract review to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with US GAAP and lead the preparation of accounting memos supporting revenue positions.
  • Serve as the revenue subject matter expert and collaborate with Deal Desk, Sales, and legal teams to close non-standard deals, while providing guidance and training to the cross-functional teams on revenue recognition principles and practices.
  • Lead revenue accounting operations to ensure timely and accurate accounting of monthly close and reporting. Work closely with company's external auditors to support quarterly review and annual audit.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams for system and process enhancement UAT to ensure proper implementation of technical and operational revenue processes.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls for revenue recognition and lead continuous review and improvement of revenue systems and business processes
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to a team of accounting professionals to grow their career, including development of technical and soft skills and fostering a collaborative, inclusive and efficient work environment.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of leadership experience with revenue accounting and reporting, system implementations, process improvement and internal controls/SOX, including experience working in a publicly traded Software Company.
  • CPA with in-depth knowledge of Revenue Recognition standards (ASC 606) is required, Big-4 experience will be a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated success in leading revenue accounting functions through rapid growth and expanding product offerings, with a proven track record to develop and execute effective strategies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a consistent record of building high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and with all levels of management;
  • Proven experience in establishing and standardizing policies, processes, procedures, system implementation, process improvement and internal controls around revenue recognition that are SOX-compliant.
  • Proficiency in relevant enterprise SaaS tools (i.e.: SFDC, NetSuite, RevPro, BigQuery, etc.)


Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component.

These ranges representthe lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

The typical starting salary range for this role is:
$253,600 USD
$304,200 USD
