What you will achieve:
As the Tax Director for the global tax provision team, you will oversee the Company’s income tax reporting processes with the support of a global team of tax and accounting professionals. You will be reporting to the VP of Tax Accounting and have a key role in shaping and modernizing the Company’s tax accounting policies and processes.
You will:
Lead the Company's quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provision, including preparation, consolidation, and review of provision calculations and related SEC financial statements and disclosures, and provide supervision and mentorship to the tax provision team
Help drive process transformation and automation initiatives to increase the efficiency of tax accounting processes and provide support for various company-wide financial systems related projects
Work closely with the Corporate Accounting, SEC reporting and other business partners and collaborate closely with the broader tax organization to stay on top of tax regulations, business transactions, and accounting developments that have income tax impact
Maintain a high level of technical expertise and current knowledge of US GAAP pertaining to tax accounting and serve as a technical resource for the global tax provision team
Manage tax forecasts and NonGAAP tax rate projections and oversee the external financial statement audit of the income tax provision and the maintenance of SOX controls
Essential Requirements
Minimum 12 years of tax accounting and provision experience with a large public accounting firm or corporate multinational company
Advanced knowledge of ASC 740, Accounting for Income Taxes, broad knowledge of US GAAP accounting, and experience with statutory accounting processes
Broad understanding of U.S. tax rules and experience in transfer pricing and other international tax issues
An effective leader and people manager who focuses on collaboration and building strong relationships throughout the organization
Strong communication skills and ability to effectively explain complex tax issues to executives and other stakeholders and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high attention to detail
Desirable Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred
Experience with large ERP systems, Tax Provision consolidation software, and advanced data analytics tools, is highly desirable
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $197,000.00 - $255,200.00
