The Risk Manager (Principal Associate) will have the opportunity to apply risk management, project management, and data management skills to key initiatives, primarily serving as the program lead for the US Card Manual Process Governance Program (MPG).

The Risk Manager (Principal Associate) will work horizontally across US Card to inventory, evaluate, prioritize, execute and report on manual process risk reduction in the organization. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated risk professional with excellent analytical, process improvement, relationship management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Key point of contact for all Card teams participating in the MPG program.

  • Provide training for team leads and advocate for data quality in line with established guidelines. Lead MPG Community of Practice

  • Ownership of the manual process inventory on the Salesforce Platform. For the Platform, manage coordination across Tech and DA teams to ensure data quality; own the improvements roadmap. Maintain all Job Aids and Training Materials.

  • Oversee the data associated with manual process inventories to ensure accuracy and actionable information that will drive meaningful reduction results.

  • Manage program communications and reporting to include dashboards, newsletters, check in meetings, and routine/special reports for leadership. Create executive level communications on program progress, status, impediments and escalation needs. Communicate and influence clearly with business partners

  • Serve as a thought leader, interfacing with business and technical teams, to advocate for active management of manual process risks and solutions to remediate them

  • Develop a deep understanding of MPG data to gather insights to help business teams develop remediation solutions via short and long term strategic investments

  • Excellent communication skills to engage across all levels

  • Based on Strategic Program capacity, the Risk Manager (Principal Associate) may lead other strategic initiatives driven out of US Card Risk.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in risk management

  • At least 2 years of leading operational processes and improvement opportunities

  • At least 2 years of experience in project management and leading cross functional initiatives to include experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal partner

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in Salesforce platform

  • 1+ years of experience working through Tech and Data teams to accomplish platform improvements

  • 2+ years of experience working in the financial services industry

  • Risk Management certifications

  • Process Certifications


This role ismeaning associates typically spend about half their time (2-3 days per week)are enterprise- wide

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
are in-person days for associates to spend time together working in our beautifully-designed team areas.
