Job Description
This role requires a strong understanding of the global payments, particularly Instant Payments market, client operations and industry participants. The ultimate objective of this role is to ensure that our innovation in instant payments unlocks significant value for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Development, rollout and execution of new capabilities . This includes building new Instant Payments capabilities aligned to market infrastructure moving to 24/7 real-time banking as well as clients’ business models shifting to direct-to-consumer.
- P&L ownership and full product development and commercialization responsibilities of Instant Payments business for Asia Clusters, to deliver and execute on our Global Domestic Payments strategy.
- Work seamlessly with our stakeholders to ensure our instant payment capabilities are developed, rolled out and commercialized with excellence
- Driving business growth through targeted industry and client segment focus, working closely with our Banking and Sales teams to co-create with clients and develop solutions that are commercially viable for Citi .
- Own front to back Operational Risk, other risk stripes and partner with relevant stakeholders to build proactive controls agenda
- Drive Innovation in Instant Payment space with right partnership model with relevant fintechs to deliver value
- Contribute to best practice recommendations to regulators in Asia Clusters as they pursue policies to foster financial innovation and upgrade payment systems, while managing existing and emerging Risks in the business
- Build credible and trusting relationships with network partners internally and promote business ties with external industry stakeholders.
Knowledge/ Experience:
- 12+ years of experience in transaction banking/ payments business, tech industry, institutional or consumer banking, innovation, eCommerce, and/or Fintech
- Experience working in product development or market management, business development or in a client relationship/solution sales role, with a good understanding of the technology and operations capabilities underpinning client solutions
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth by identifying commercial opportunities with a strong and clear articulation of client value proposition.
- Successful track record in leading change management
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize insights and prioritize and influence actions in a highly matrixed, large corporate environment

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree preferable.
- Strong knowledge of Product Management disciplines
- Experience and knowledge across all components of transaction banking solutions preferred (e.g. operations, client delivery, technology, relationship management, and/or business management).
