Design, execute, and analyze reliability tests for Tesla electric vehicle inverters
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve design, integration, and reliability issues
Develop new test equipment to simulate real-world electrical, thermal, and mechanical stresses experienced by inverters and their components
Perform instrumentation and characterization of the electrical, mechanical, and thermal behavior of inverters at system and component levels
Develop test specifications, procedures, and documentation for reliability validation tests
Utilize electronic design and simulation software to design, simulate, and troubleshoot test setups and test rigs
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and technicians
Prepare and present detailed reports on test findings, failure analysis, and recommendations
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Preferred experience: Hands-on work experience or coursework in power electronics, inverter design, and reliability testing
Knowledge of power electronics and semiconductor components, particularly MOSFETs and IGBTs
Proven experience in the design, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic circuits
Proficiency in using test equipment, including oscilloscopes, curve tracers, digital multimeters (DMMs), hipot testers, power analyzer, and source meters
Familiarity with electronic design and simulation tools, such as Altium, LTspice, and other industry-standard software
Strong documentation skills and ability to organize test data and reports effectively
Knowledge of reliability testing methodologies and industry standards
