In this role, you will be working with a broad set of cross-functional stakeholders across operations, data science, design, engineering, marketing and more.
In this role, you will:
- Define, own, and execute the product roadmap for your sub-area that aligns with business goals and customer needs
- Build products across various surfaces and platforms (mobile app, website, internal tools, APIs) that make ordering and fulfilling deliveries compelling and reliable
- Lead the end to end product development process from concept to launch. Collaborate with engineering, design and other teams to prioritize and deliver high quality features
- Leverage data and experimentation to drive growth and optimize product performance
- Work with a wide variety of business partners and operations teams to define and implement the strategy to scale these products globally.
- Experience working at e-commerce or marketplace companies
- Experience taking products from 0 to 1, from a blank piece of paper to initial scale out
- Experience with Full-stack product delivery that includes UX and backend systems.
- - - - Basic Qualifications ----
- Minimum 7 years experience delivering successful and innovative products with your fingerprints all over them
- Previous technology product experience. You would have directly worked on building B2B or B2C features, ideally within a marketplace business. You are familiar with systems thinking, analytics and experiment design, and basic software development concepts
- Technical savviness. Can manifest in different ways: a computer science undergraduate degree, hands-on software engineering experience, or experiences building complex software products side by side with engineers. Technical understanding must go from the highest abstractions down to the metal
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You will be doing a lot of internal and external advocacy and collaboration that will require a keen eye for narrative and storytelling about your product area. Its a global team, so English skills are required.
- Attention to detail. The ability to obsess over every single part of the retailing process
- Customer obsession. The ability to take on complex product challenges and find elegant, simplifying solutions to avoid making them our users and partner’s problems
- Finger-tippiness with data. You find a way to get the data you need and whip it into an insightful story with no help. You know how to leverage this data to make decisions without getting stuck in analysis paralysis
- A “Driver” mindset. You are biased toward action, a great collaborator, a master disambiguator/simplifier, and constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery
- Grit. You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on
- A high bar across the board — from your own contributions to the people you work with, to the products you work on
