Responsible for creating and evaluating ideas on project decks and leading the execution of those projects.
Drive VCP ideation through BOM cost analysis, sourcing spend data, value analysis, should cost analysis, and brainstorming sessions with cross functional teams.
Perform teardowns of products to benchmark the cost and design, perform cost to function analysis, and support Disruptive Cost Workouts (DCW) focused on design improvements and cost reduction efforts.
Own and drive teardown workshops: involve cross functional teams for ideation sessions - idea funnel generation.
Data analysis – cost / BOM / technical attributes / design elements to identify areas of standardization and optimization.
Develop part category specific database with technical attributes for analysis and to optimize and create standard libraries (for eg: Injection molding, Cables, etc.)
Design to cost, Design for Manufacturing and Design to Value mindset.
Experience in program management – ownership of outcomes.
Communicate, collaborate, and engage with global cross functional teams and hardware design teams optimizing components and processes.
Business case: develop ROI models by considering true cost of change.
Work with the hardware platform teams in developing global solutions.
Responsible for product life cycle which includes prompt attention to supply chain issues and obsolescence for both production and service operations.
Help deliver a culture of Design to Value and Cost reduction.
Execution of ideas: project plan, develop design solution, prototyping, verification and validation, ECR implementation.
Define standard processes and develop playbooks to engrain processes into functional teams.
