Role Description:

Must already be experienced with building grid compute and/or container management systems at large scale across multiple geographic regions.

Responsibilities:

The Quartz Platform team is now starting a core refresh of the platform to modernize with capabilities required to meet our user’s future needs. We are looking to add an experienced software engineers with solid CS knowledge and proof of delivery on at least one large project in a relevant area (in a PhD or prior job). This person needs to be able to own and independently implement one part of a complex project, while collaborating effectively with the owners of the other parts.

• Process distribution and management

• OCI Images/Containers

• Deep experience with at least a few of the following: podman, docker, kubernetes, not just using but developing core features for and/or extending

Skills that will help:

• Networking and serialization protocols

• Security & PKI

• Linux Kernal Internals

• Data marshaling/optimizations

• DevOps automation
