In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a difference in the way Red Hat OpenStack Services on OpenShift works. You will gain a deep understanding of a variety of technologies, including Ansible, Python, Linux, Bash, Networking, Storages and especially Hardware overview of cloud architectures.
What you will do:
You'll make sure our solutions fulfill the highest possible enterprise quality, performance, usability, and supportability criteria.
As an Associate Quality Engineer, you'll be able to review the design of new features and comment on the implementations.
You’ll analyze, report, and track defects in the infrastructure for Development and Quality Engineering teams.
We'll need you to have the ability to think creatively and adapt to rapid change, as well as the willingness to learn new things.
Work with the complete Red Hat Cloud solutions portfolio and make sure our solutions are scalable, maintainable and extensible.
Participate in the sprint planning and team planning processes.
Develop new automated tests.
Learn about methods and best practices to get to the root of a problem.
Communicate the impact of bugs and issues to developers and support.
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related engineering field, or relevant professional experience.
Intermediate written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to read and modify existing code and code simple scripts/programs
Ability to create clear defect reports with reproducers.
Ability to add documentation to an architecture plan together with an estimation on deadline (with guidance of a more senior member).
Familiar with Ansible. Admin-level skills and background in Linux and familiarity with git.
Basic programming language skills in Python. Ability to work in a growing and evolving team.
