Senior HSE Manager – Redmond WA
As a Senior HSE Manager here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's health, safety, and environmental engineering efforts. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of health and safety for employees, compliance with environmental regulations, and the implementation of best practices in engineering-related safety.
You will report directly to our Plant Director and you will work out of our Redmond WA facility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement comprehensive HSE strategies that align with the organization's mission, ensuring a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility.
- Lead and manage a team of HSE professionals, including engineers, specialists, and support staff, ensuring efficient and effective HSE engineering practices.
- Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, permits, and certifications.
- Stay updated on changing regulations and industry best practices.
- Develop and implement proactive safety measures, training, and policies to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses in the workplace.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards, providing engineering solutions and preventive measures.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans for HSE-related incidents, including accidents and environmental emergencies.
- Develop and manage the HSE budget, allocate resources, and seek cost-effective solutions to maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental protection.
- Promote environmental sustainability by implementing eco-friendly practices and minimizing the environmental impact of the organization's operations.
- Establish and enforce quality control standards in HSE engineering, conducting regular inspections and performance assessments.
- Collaborate with various internal departments, senior management, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication, training, and education on HSE matters.
YOU MUST HAVE
- 6+ years of experience in HSE Engineering
- 2+ years of leadership and direct team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
