Your impact
- Work closely with Jacobs QC team to provide timely responses to technical queries and site clarification requests whilst ensuring design intent is not compromised.
- Work closely with construction contractors (not Jacobs) to ensure timely project completion in full compliance with design intent.
- Multi-Disciplinary Experience: Leverage your expertise in civil/structural disciplines.
- Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC): Manage and approve installations at pre-approved witness and hold points.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Discipline Engineers to ensure construction contractors adhere to design requirements.
- Technical Issue Management: Direct technical issues and queries to the relevant discipline engineer.
- Successfully interface with Jacobs’ virtual teaming groups.
- Attend key client meetings to understand and develop relationships, aiming to become a trusted advisor in the sector.
- Meet deliverables while effectively allocating time.
- Facilitate the technical development of junior team members to meet market requirements.
- Perform and supervise inspections, tests, and evaluations of civil works, including foundations, structures, and site preparations.
- Document inspection and testing results, and prepare detailed reports.
- Reviews site documents such as technical design and related construction drawings.
- Able to discuss and resolve technical issues observed with the contractors.
Here's what you'll need
- Preferably hold a Civil engineering qualification or any other related field.
- Preferable with Ports & Maritime construction experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in QC or QA roles, preferably in Ports & Maritime
- Demonstrated track record of successfully managing construction projects.
- Familiarity with international and local engineering and construction methods, applicable codes, and specifications related to Renewable Energy Sector.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to be assign onsite on a project basis.
