What You’ll Do
  • Interface with downstream customers, pack, vehicle, and the field. Gather relevant information on applications and performance of 4680 cells
  • Own the containment process as well as any potential escapes and be accountable to close actions that ensure issues cannot reoccur
  • Investigate and collect data on opportunities for improvements to 4680 quality and quantify impact
  • Build fundamental understanding of complex technical challenges (design, manufacturing, integration, etc.) based on data collected
  • Using a data driven approach to turn opportunities into actionable tasks that can be deployed to engineering teams, then track those actions to closure
  • Own KPI’s that describe the performance of the fleet across all in house cell manufacturing and drive compliance to industry standards
  • Participate in warranty modelling based on CAE, lab testing and data from the field
  • Build fundamental understanding of complex technical challenges (design, manufacturing, integration, etc.) based on data collected
  • Conducts detailed risk assessments at the product and manufacturing level to identify opportunity and drives mitigation of risks
  • Interface with reliability engineering teams to implement findings from the field, lifetime testing as well as abuse engineering
What You’ll Bring
  • 1+ years of experience in quality, reliability, or similar field
  • Degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with lithium-ion cells or high-volume manufacturing is preferred
  • Ability to analyze very large data sets to draw conclusions. Strong data analytical skills using multiple platforms and languages (SQL, Python, Tableau, MATLAB, JMP etc.)
  • Knowledge of quality problem solving methods such as Six Sigma to root cause, solve and iteratively improve product quality
  • Proven application of sampling plans and statistical analysis – AQL, Process Capability, SPC, etc.
  • Detail oriented, with the ability to effectively handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across levels and functions
  • Can demonstrate ability to perform deadlines and perform under high pressure
  • Fluent with common MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
