In this leadership role you will:
- Drive strategic alignment between analytics initiatives and broader organizational goals, partnering with senior leadership to ensure data-driven decision making
- Work closely with Alexa Shopping Product and Engineering leadership to understand their underlying needs and translate them into comprehensive analytics strategies- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with Data Engineering to ensure high quality instrumentation that enables granular analysis at scale
- Build scalable solutions using analytics tools and languages (notably SQL) to provide data and KPIs through streamlined reporting and visualization tools such as Quicksight
- Propose and prioritize changes to reporting systems and create additional metrics based on program changes and customer requirements- Lead A/B testing strategies, ensuring statistical significance and educating stakeholders on proper results interpretation- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders

- 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience building measures and metrics, and developing reporting solutions
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
- Capacity to independently to lead and execute E2E insight projects, including asking the right questions, managing complex datasets, iterating on findings, and providing strategic guidance and recommendations to the business.
- Experience in Business Intelligence (BI), Analytics, and Data Engineering (DE) experience with evidence of increasing responsibility

- Master's degree in statistics, data science, or an equivalent quantitative field
- Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
